About

The BID sketches an international map of design that highlights the latest trends in Ibero-American design and places Madrid in the spotlight. Its main objective is to share and promote the best and latest design proposals from the twenty-three countries taking part in it.

BID is an event managed and coordinated by DIMAD. It takes place every two years at the Central de Diseño at Matadero Madrid. It has just now reached its fifth edition, ten years establishing itself as the most important venue for Ibero-American design.

This venue allows the public to get closer to the discipline of design and its environment. It includes a massive exhibition that brings together the trendiest proposals made by designers from Latin-America, Portugal and Spain and a BID Meeting Zone, a place for interaction and exchange featuring prestigious guests from the world of design. It includes 35 activities open to everyone, admission free, such as lectures, workshops, round tables, etc.

Its aim is to share experiences, create a space for thought and discussion and to establish dialogue and contact networks between professionals and companies, exchanging knowledge and generating sources of business and trade. BID has established itself as a forum to generate ideas and share them. Additional activities are included in the BID´s touring exhibitions, which travel around several countries.
