READ, Ordinary General Assembly 2025

Today, March 21, the Ordinary General Assembly of READ is held. The Spanish Network of Design Associations of which DIMAD and, therefore, all its partners are part. ‍

The member associations share the objectives of disseminating design culture, promoting and making sector activity more visible, strengthening the position of design professionals and contributing to the transformation of the economic fabric, establishing more competitive and efficient relationships and encouraging situations of social encounter.

‍

The event is in Gran Canaria and the host association is DI-CA, The Association of Professionals and Design Companies of the Canary Islands. During the Assembly, among other issues, there will be a vote to change the presidency of READ, a two-year position that allows each territory to be the nerve center of national design during that period. ‍

‍

This time, the Cuenca Design Association passes the baton to DIEX (Extremadura Designers Association) and Silvia González (DIEX) will succeed Juan Lázaro (Cuenca Diseño), as the new president of READ. ‍ A new organization chart will be set up and will be shared with you in the coming days.

As a representative of DIMAD, Myriam Cea, our member of the READ Board of Directors and responsible for the associative and communication community at DIMAD, will attend.

READ is composed of: AAD, Andalusian Association of Designers; ADCV, Association of Designers of the Valencian Community; AGA, Association of Graphic Designers of Asturias; Cuenca Diseño; DAG, Galician Association of Designers; DI-CA, The Association of Professionals and Design Companies of the Canary Islands; DiEx, Association of Designers of Extremadura; DIME, Plateau Design; DIP, Association of Design and Advertising Communication of the Region of Murcia; EIDE, Basque Design Association/Euskal Diseinuaren Elkartea; and La Exmidora, of Designers and Creatives of Castellón and DIMAD, our association of designers from Madrid.
